Wymondham affray appeal

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of affray following a disturbance in Wymondham town centre.

The incident happened on Wednesday (2 October 2019) between 8.45pm and 9pm in Market Place where two men approached three teenage girls before verbally threatening and chasing them.

It is understood members of the public intervened before police arrived and suspects left the scene. No one was injured and enquiries led officers to arrest two men, aged 28 and 29, in connection with the incident.

Both were questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and released on bail until 22 October while enquiries continue.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning it.
