Appeal following fatal collision in Thursford

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A148 at Thursford last week (Wednesday 29 July 2020).

Officers were called shortly before 9.50am following reports that a grey Volkswagen Golf had left the roadside and crashed into a tree.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance attended the scene and the driver and passenger were both taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries.

Sadly, the passenger, a woman aged in her 80s died on Saturday 1 August.

The driver, a man aged in his 80s, remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, the manner of driving prior to it, or anyone with any information to come forward.
