Man pleads guilty to King’s Lynn machete incident

A man from King’s Lynn has pleaded guilty to three offences after appearing in court.

49-year-old David Pemment of Oak Circle, King’s Lynn appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Saturday (19 September 2020) facing a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and two counts of having an offensive weapon.

The appearance follows an incident that took place on 17 August 2020, in Oak Circle, Gaywood, when a man was attacked with a machete.

Following a disagreement over loud music, the victim suffered very serious injuries to his hand, after attempting to protect another man from Pemment’s bladed weapon.

Following the guilty plea, Pemment is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 17 November 2020 for sentencing.
